| Almost all the Southern coast of Crimean peninsula from cape Aiya (near Sevastopol) to mt. Ai-Petri above Yalta is available for multipitch climbing. In addition there are sites between Alushta and Yalta, between Simferopol and Alushta and near Sudak. Most of routes are badly equipped, so for ascent one should to have all the gear for mountain climbing , such as friends, stoppers, wallnuts, sometimes skyhooks etc. At the same time there are fully equipped multipitch routes with crux from 5a to 7b, according to climbing grades. They imply the use of quickdraws only. All the multipitch routes are in limestone. |
