Sergey probably is the best guide I sofare met - he has a million good ideas, and pretty profound knowledge about both the enviroment and the culture of Crimea. And he manages to be both reliable and firely enthusastic, highly professional and naturally friendly. And for sure he will show you all the best parts of a ravishing beautiful land. Jeannette & Alastair, England We thoroughly enjoyed our tours (2 day hiking tour and 1 day Novyi Sviet) and were glad that we had booked these days to a) take the pain out of organizing trips off the beaten track and b) to get an insider's view of Crimea. What we appreciated most apart from the spectacular views, the food and clear mountain water, was getting to know people like Alex and Lila our lovely hosts in the village, their neighbour Alim who happened to join us for tea, and the 'trainee monk' in the orthodox cave monastary. Thanks for encouraging conversation and doing all the translating! Kassy, Australia Climbing day one: The routes were polished which I found a little frustrating but the view was magnificent which made up for it. Thankyou for sharing your lunch with me! Sergeys encouragement always made me climb better. And a little tip Sergey - if you tell a girl she is a great climber she will always ALWAYS believe you and climb a hundred percent better for it:-) cheers. And walker as well. I reckon I burnt more calories walking those two days than any others in my life! It was SO GREAT Mulltipitch: The route was in fantastic condition and the views exhilarating. The weather was perfect and watching the clouds drift towards us then float silently away was a memory I hope I never forget. The hike (2-days hiking tour Grand Canyon of Crimea + cave towns): The Crimean mountains in October are an incredible experience. As an Australian I can never recall Autumn flaunting her colours so vivdly before me. The woods were shady and lovely, the streams cold and thirstquenching, the views -green, orange, gold, red tapestries - breathtaking. We ate fresh hazelnuts and pears and other fruits. We visited cave mountains where Sergey's stories brought to life the mountain peoples world - cattle stables, defence fortress, shops and religion. Centuries of the mountain lifestyle and the battles with the Tatars. It is an incredible thing to watch history played out in front of you in your minds eye. The evening we spent in a rural mountain village and the hospitality of the couple was wonderful. Sergey is a sincere and patient man with a professional attitude and a great sense of humour.

Hello Sergey, Just to say thanks again for the great two day hiking trip in Crimea last week ... it was really great and I will certainly be back for more -- the mountain biking sounds very special. The night in Sokolinoe was particuarly memorable, somewhere I'd really like to return to. Foreigners love this sort of thing,, especially the good food at the end of the day! You asked for suggestions -- to be honest I have no complaints at all about our trip, we just saw great places. Was particularly good we avoided the crowds. It's great to be able to link up with other people as we did, since this reduces the cost quite drastically and also creates a great atmosphere. Certainly next time would be interested in something physically quite challenging, but that's just me. By the way made it okay to Bakhchisaray that day and found a room with a lovely Tartar grandmother. Another place to go back to ...
