Yalta is a city on Southern coast of the Crimean peninsula and is the summer capital of Ukraine.
The climate is mild and similar to the Mediterranean. The average annual temperature is +13.2°C and the humidity is moderate. In the mountains (mountain plateau above the city is 1200m. above sea level!) the average annual temperature is + 5°C. There are about 80,000 inhabitants. The Big Yalta region stretches from Foros to Gurzuf (70 km). It is surrounded with high mountains. The perfect landscape is combined with a magnificent historical past...
Yalta is not a beach resort in a standard understanding of this term. Beaches are pebbled, in high season (July and August) completely overcrowded. Most of climbing sites are situated just near Yalta, hiking and mountain bike trails are also here...
